Target Group
This course is intended for technicians who open and close bolted connections using hydraulic torque and tensioning equipment.
Learning Objective
After completing the course, participants will be able to safely and responsibly loosen and tighten bolted connections using hydraulic torque and tensioning equipment.
Theory
Characteristics and operation of torque equipment.
Characteristics and operation of tensioning equipment.
Torquing work methodology.
Tensioning work methodology.
Principles of controlled loosening and tightening of flange connections.
Working according to protocol (closing procedure).
Safety requirements when using specific equipment and tools.
Practice
Applying relevant regulations and procedures.
Working with measuring instruments.
Practical training with torque and tensioning equipment.
Entry Requirements
Participants must be at least 18 years old.
A valid VCA diploma or SSC diploma is required.
Exam Languages
The SOG exam is available in Dutch and English.
Diploma
Registration in the SSVV Diploma Register.
Valid for 5 years.
Location
The course is offered at multiple locations in the Netherlands and can also be conducted at your own location if desired.
